What are Tarot Cards?
There doesn't seem to be a clear indication as to the origins of Tarot Cards, some say they were an early form of modern day playing cards while others will tell you that they originate from Egyptian Masons - all I know is they exist and are widely used by clairvoyants in readings - myself included.
Tarot Cards come in many forms and guises and are sometimes classed as a 'divination tool'.
Most People will be familiar with the traditional 'Rider-Waite' cards, but there are dozens of varieties available to buy and each clairvoyant will use the deck that they are most drawn too.
No matter what deck is used the principals are the same and the cards can be used to depict past, present and future events through pictures and symbology.
A clairvoyant will interpret them using advice from their spirit guide and their own intuition. It is important to note that tarot cards have no magical, evil or occult influence or powers, they are simply a deck of cards!
In a normal deck of Tarot Cards there are 78 cards which can be split into the following groups:-
Minor Arcana (14 Cards in each group)
Pentacles
Wands
Cups
Swords
These cards depict everyday aspects of the person's life and indicate time frames and seasons.
Major Arcana (22 Cards in total)
The Major Arcana cards indicate major events in the persons life and their presence outweigh all the minor arcana cards in a reading.
Other forms of divination would include, reading tea leaves, palmistry, runes, numerology and astrology to name but a few.
